The Chanderi Saree feat. Unnati Silks

Hello everyone,
Recently, many of you suggested for a traditional/ethnic post on my Instagram and so here I am with a traditional post! I collaborated with Unnati Silks for the same. This brand specializes in hand-loom products. Other than saris, they offer various other products like kurtis, dupattas, fabrics and much more! In this post I will be talking about their Chanderi Cotton printed sari, so keep reading!

About Chanderi
Chanderi is a fort town of Madhya Pradesh, India, with the Chanderi fort located on top of a hill and was built during the Mughal period.
Chanderi is famous all over India and today overseas as well for its special, distinguishable and finely woven traditional hand-loom saris made of silk and cotton. The
Chanderi Fabric is known for centuries for its transparency, the famous hand woven Buttis,a lot of zari work and its sheer texture, besides other special features that have been included over time.

(Chanderi Cottons )
The Chanderi cotton saris at Unnati display an extraordinary array and wide range of colorful creations. They have dark colored cotton saris with bagh block prints and printed borders. They also have floral butti bagh prints with zari borders. There are plain saris with multi colour checks with dark borders or zari borders. There are stripes in two colors spread across the sari with delightful neon borders and there are neon chanderi cotton saris with light to dark motifs beautifully distributed all over the sari.

My look
The sari that I received is a pink sari with a green border and some black and white geometric detailing. The colors and the cotton fabric make the sari very summer friendly. The sari creates a simple and elegant vibe. I paired the sari with a black blouse which has a lace detailing. The lace detailing adds up to the elegant look. Keeping it minimal, I have paired the sari with just a pair of earrings and a light makeup to go with it.
Once the sari is draped on the body, it does create a little bulge but overall I like the way it looks and feels on the body. The fabric is light and comforting.
The sari can also be styled with an off-shoulder top or even a crop top for adding that western touch based on your liking.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post !
